One long time criticism of iPhone’s mobile Safari web browser is the lack of an iPhone Flash plugin that enables Flash-based video playback and Flash-based effects. Though the Safari web browsing experience on the Apple iPhone is undoubtedly the best on a mobile phone, the lack of Flash support kills the joy about. But instead of waiting for Apple to figure something out, which they haven’t yet even as of the latest firmware version 2.2, you can actually do something about it yourself now. Enter the iMobileCinema iPhone Flash plugin for Safari. Using the steps below to install this plugin, you’ll soon be able to enjoy all browsing all the Flash enhanced sites you weren’t able to browse before.
- If you haven’t already, jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch. We have guides for 2G and 3G iPhones.
- Start up Cydia.
- Browse to the manage tab on the bottom menu bar.
- Click on the Manage tab on the bottom menu bar. In the Manage tab, click on the Sources button in the middle. You will need to add the source to the iMobileCinema repo to install the Safari Flash plugin.
- Click on "Edit" on the top right, then "Add" on the top left. In the URL, type: http://d.imobilecinema.com/ as shown below. When you are done click "Done" and then "Browser."
- Now click on the "Search" tab and type "imobilecinema" and install the app "iMobileCinema."
- Now exit Cydia after the installation completes and fire up Safari. Head on over to a website like video.google.com and test it out. Note that iMobileCinema is still in beta so kinks are still being worked out as we speak.

carefull now. streaming vids is data intensive! EX. your next bill could be outrageous.
Use wifi :)
Quit being gehy. People who jailbreak their phones are aware of their bandwidth package. “OMG, BE CAREFUL!” You sound like my grandmother. STFU

HAHA he told you! whats up now mr outrageous.
My grandmother plays halo btw.

“carefull now. streaming vids is data intensive! EX. your next bill could be outrageous.”
mac ur a douche if your weren’t streaming so much gay porn to your iphone your bill wouldn’t be over $1000 dollars u fu**in noob
yes Matthond i have had experience with this. Its not perfect by any means if you go to google video it may appear to you that this plugin is actually working this is probably because you have just clicked on a youtube hosted video which doesn’t even need the flash plugin. Find one that isn’t hosted by youtube and your shit out of luck
Yeah just tried it on both video.google.com and hulu.com – SOL.
not working your plugin. i not see any video sites. i just working “video.google.com”
It works as it says but did have some bugs. Does what i wanted it to do. Good job.
Hello. It was useful a lot of. Thank you.
This works fine, However I can only get audio to play out of the headphone jack and not the speaker. Any Ideas
What about invalidating warranty if jailbreak?
If something happens u can always restore the iphone using itunes before returning it to the Apple store :)

yeah me too what should i do it says that cant fetch data and my cydia doesnt work i cant browse or search there’s nothing in it please help me i’m clueless
Playing video’s from websites is one thing but what does flash has to do with it? only thing this thing does is taking out the video link on a webpage and playing it without flash. Doesnt even play flash .swf files.. same as before.. what a fake guide..
The title of this piece is horribly inaccurate. Imobilecinema is not flash but only a way to transcode SOME flash videos to Mp4. Imobilecinema can’t play videos on MOST sites and can’t let you view other types of flash content at all.
That being said, it’s the closest thing an iPhone user can get. Just please do not misrepresent it as flash.
