One long time criticism of iPhone’s mobile Safari web browser is the lack of an iPhone Flash plugin that enables Flash-based video playback and Flash-based effects. Though the Safari web browsing experience on the Apple iPhone is undoubtedly the best on a mobile phone, the lack of Flash support kills the joy about. But instead of waiting for Apple to figure something out, which they haven’t yet even as of the latest firmware version 2.2, you can actually do something about it yourself now. Enter the iMobileCinema iPhone Flash plugin for Safari. Using the steps below to install this plugin, you’ll soon be able to enjoy all browsing all the Flash enhanced sites you weren’t able to browse before.

  1. If you haven’t already, jailbreak your iPhone or iPod Touch. We have guides for 2G and 3G iPhones.
  2. Start up Cydia.
  3. Browse to the manage tab on the bottom menu bar.
  4. Click on the Manage tab on the bottom menu bar. In the Manage tab, click on the Sources button in the middle. You will need to add the source to the iMobileCinema repo to install the Safari Flash plugin.

  5. Click on "Edit" on the top right, then "Add" on the top left. In the URL, type: http://d.imobilecinema.com/ as shown below. When you are done click "Done" and then "Browser."

  6. Now click on the "Search" tab and type "imobilecinema" and install the app "iMobileCinema."

  7. Now exit Cydia after the installation completes and fire up Safari. Head on over to a website like video.google.com and test it out. Note that iMobileCinema is still in beta so kinks are still being worked out as we speak.

yes Matthond i have had experience with this. Its not perfect by any means if you go to google video it may appear to you that this plugin is actually working this is probably because you have just clicked on a youtube hosted video which doesn’t even need the flash plugin. Find one that isn’t hosted by youtube and your shit out of luck
