Unlock iPhone SIM PIN Lock without Restart

Enabling the SIM PIN lock on your iPhone is a great way to minimize unwanted charges on your calling plan in case you lose your phone. If anyone other than yourself gets a hold of your phone, they will be able to use it until the power goes out. After that, even if they charge it, they will need to enter in your SIM PIN code to use the phone again (at least with your SIM card).
Unfortunately the request for the SIM PIN is fleeting and requires your full attention as you power on the phone. After waiting for the Apple logo to disappear you need to be ready to high that “Unlock” button and enter in your code, otherwise the dialog disappears you end up not being able to make calls or connect to your network unless you restart to bring it up again. I’ve found a simple way to unlock the SIM PIN without having to restart the iPhone. Just follow these steps:
1. Go to your iPhone Settings
2. Go to Phone settings
3. Go to SIM PIN settings
From there switch off and then on the “SIM PIN” setting switch. This process will require you enter your SIM PIN twice but I’ve timed it and it still beats restarting your iPhone by far.

Or you can just try to call anyone, the call is forbidden and the iphone asks the sim code again :) No easier way to do it.

This would have been an amazing solution but there is one big flaw for a couple of us not using an american sim card. Our phone is locked and we cant enter the phones settings. Is there any other way to fix the sim pin lock problem when your iphone is already locked???

Thank you so much! This worked for me. when I called my phone service they told me that I had to come in and get a new SIM card. Thought I would try your solution first and because I knew my SIM PIN it worked fantastically well. Thanks a lot!!!!!!
thanks for this. This was never a serious problem for me, just one of those little annoying, niggly ones which seemed like there should always be a simple solution.
I’m on a European (and jailbreaked) iPhone and it works fine. And also, I tried making a call but it just said my sim was locked, ended the call and bounced me back to my contacts menu. This is the only solution so far, apart from the annoying and time-consuming restart. Hopefully its an issue apple have rectified or will do in newer software releases, since I’m self-limiting myself to the 1.2 software at the moment

Try and make a phone call and you will be asked if you want to unlock your SIM. If one or more favourite contacts set up and you have left the double home key press action as default, then just press home key twice and tap the first contact you see… Under 5 seconds…

Unlocking iphone is not easy. Nice article. But unlocking the GSM mobile is very easy. I found the unlocking codes as free for GSM mobile from <a href="http://www.unlock-free.com/" Like the same is their any website available for iphone unlock.
