We won’t go over the many use cases in which you will be needing the IP address of your iPhone because we’re assuming you’re reading this because you already have a good reason. Determining the IP address only takes three steps.

Step 1
Go to the iPhone Settings menu. Then click on Wi-Fi.

Step 2
Click on the blue arrow (circled in red) next to the wireless network that you are currently connected to. If you get more than one option, you will know which network you are connected to by the blue checkmark on the left. If the iPhone isn’t connected to your wireless network right now, select it from the list to connect to it. Once it is connected click on the blue arrow.

Step 3
Record the IP address (boxed in red in the very first screenshot). That is your iPhone’s IP address.

What if the phone’s crashed and you’re trying to find the IP address on the wifi network?
