How to Replace the iPhone SIM Card

If you’re unlocking your iPhone, chances are you probably won’t be using the AT&T SIM card that comes pre-installed in it. But how to get it out? At first glance, the iPhone looks pretty slim and seamless, but at the top of the phone you’ll notice a thin rectangle with rounded corners with a small hole on a side next to the headphone jack. That’s where the SIM card is, pretty clever design, isn’t it? To get to the SIM card, simply get a paper clip or safety pin and insert it into the small hole. The entire piece should come out as you push in, with the SIM card secured inside.

Remove the card, noting which side has the metal contacts, and place your own SIM card in its place. Then slide the rectangle back into the iPhone. You will now be able to use your own SIM card and old phone service with your new iPhone.
