If you just couldn’t wait for the US version of Mario Galaxy or Super Smash Bros Brawl to come out and tried to play the Japanese version on your modded US Wii, you know exactly what this post is about! Wii duplicate channels get installed in your Wii channel menu when a different region game forces an update and while the dupes can be moved out of view, the fact that I know they are there annoys me to no end. Well, not after today! With this multiregion duplicate channel remover (credit: Waninkoko), you’ll be able to get rid of those duplicate channels forever and it works on all Wii regions!
- Use the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess hack to load the ELF, covered in this post, or…
- (Easier) Burn the ISO.
- Then load it and let it run until your Wii restarts
The great thing about this hack is it will also prevent future duplicate channels from getting installed on your Wii. For the curious, the hack uses the Trucha Signer exploit. Make sure you choose the correct region for your Wii. We are not responsible to damage for caused by these directions to your Wii!
