Find Out Your Color IQ with the FM 100 Hue Test

Ever wanted to know what your color IQ was? It’s your ability to discern different hues of color. There’s an online test called the FM 100 Hue Test which displays an array of 100 slightly varying hues of color and makes you put them in order from one fixed gradient to another. The test is split into four sections, to keep your sanity, so it’s actually 25 colors at a time, but it’s still a challenge. Note that the monitor you use can greatly impact your score, as that’s what test provider xrite is hoping to

Office Games: Ways to Kill Time at Work – Super Fun!

Got nothing to do at work? Trying to kill some time? Well here are some fun and creative games to play at work. The games are based off a simple point system. The person with the most points at the end of the day wins a beer for each point that they are ahead by.

Distance Peeing

One fun game to play at work is distance peeing. Start peeing, then slowly back up, each step back you take earns you a point. The object of the game is to get as far back as you possibly can Points are taken away for spillage, but in the end you donâ€™t really care as you arenâ€™t the one cleaning it. This game is not just limited to guys, girls can play too!

Lotion on the Headset

When your co-workers arenâ€™t at their desk, put lotion on their head set, wait till they come back to their desk, and cal them on the phone. Points go out for how many seconds you can keep them talking with lotion to the ear. Co-workers love when you do this to them. I have been complemented many times, mostly with sexual offers like f*&#.

Chair Racing

Pick one of the many stylish office chairs, each chair may have different weight and speed advantages. Two or more can play this game. All you need is a chair to play. If you only have two players, you can do the backwards race or the forward racing. Extra points are awarded to hard bumps and getting the other player knocked out of the chair. With 4 players can you have a push race! Hitting no players in this game are bonus points.

The Nerf War

Good old Nerf guns are always fun. Point and shoot away. The only way to score in this game is to get direct head shots. Try to shoot pail people in the face as it normally leaves a nice little red mark where you hit! Donâ€™t forget to talk trash after you are done. PWNAGE!

Street Fighter in the Halls

To play this game, you must do complete Street Fighter poses while your other co-workers walk by. Points are awarded for each comment you receive. Anything counts here, like â€œWhat are you doing?â€ This not only is fun to do, but helps you relive the 90s when Street Fighter was king!

Parking Lot Games:

Car Window Writing

Walk around the parking lot and find dirty cars, then come up with catchy sayings and write them on their windows. Points go out to each car you mark with a funny phase. No points are awarded for â€œWash meâ€ sayings as they are lame and out dated! This one says “I wish my wife was as dirty as this car.” pwnage!

Distance Parking

Get your car, and park it as close as you possibly can. Scoring is based off distance. The closer you get to the other car the more points you get. For added fun, get another friend to park on the other side and bonus points if you can get the driver of the non playing car to crawl through the trunk to get in his car. pwnage!

Elevator Games

Some of you guys without elevators canâ€™t play these, but they are way fun.

Alarm Riding

Get in the elevator, and hold down the alarm button. Points are awarded for every 10 seconds you hold down the button and for each person inside the elevator at one time. So if you are the only one in the elevator and you hold down the alarm button for 10 seconds you get 1 point. If there is someone with you, you get 2 points, etc.

The Christmas tree

Hop in an elevator, click all the floor buttons to light it up like a Christmas tree, and then get off at the first stop. Points are awarded for every other passenger in the elevator.

End of the Day

After you play all those games, itâ€™s time to come back to your desk and watch some good TV shows while you tally up the points. Remember to hook up your Sling box! Keep a nice spread sheet open just in case someone walks and click on it in emergencies. Cheers!

You’d probably be like “What the heck? I have no idea.” Well some parents in New Zealand would know these answers because this is what they named their kids. Yes, exactly, WTH! And that is exactly what a New Zealand judge probably thought as well as he made a 9 year old a ward of the court in order for her named to be changed. “The court is profoundly concerned about the very poor judgment which this child’s parents have shown in choosing this name,” he wrote. “It makes a fool of the child and sets her up with a social disability and handicap, unnecessarily.”

Saving Paper and Ink: How to Go Paperless

I never receive any bank statements or credit card statements in the mail anymore. Why should I? It uses our precious resources and costs us all money. Plus it wastes my already limited physical storage space. Before I went paperless, I used to leave my statements in a filing cabinet to rot, never looking at them again after I first received them. Banks and credit card companies all do business online nowadays, and it’s supremely easy to print your statement from their websites if you enroll in their online services. Don’t get me wrong, I still collect all my bank and credit card statements, I just store them in an infinitely more convenient place: my hard drive. If you have Adobe Acrobat, you can simply save your monthly bank statement as a PDF file and file it away somewhere on your hard drive. Same goes for credit card statements.

What does this do? It makes it easy to search your statements (I bet your computer is a faster searcher than you are) and saves you on paper and ink costs. The great thing is, if you ever really need a paper statement, it’s only a click away to send it off to your printer. Filing is a breeze as well because it is just a matter of saving a PDF file to a folder on your drive versus rifling through a big filing cabinet already stuffed with other paper.

Why not take it a step further from your statements and extend it to receipts? I used to print all my receipts after making online purchases, only for them to suffer the same fate as my bank statements. Today, I use the same idea and just print everything to PDF. I won’t see it if I don’t look for it, but it’s always there when I need it. Need a PDF writer? Try out CutePDF, it’s free and lightweight and most importantly, gives you no more excuses to start going paperless.

Another essential tool for going paperless is your trusty old scanner. Don’t use your copy machine to make hard copies unless you really need the hard copy. Consider scanning your document instead and saving it to your hard drive, either as a PDF or image file. Again, the idea is that when you need the hard copy you only need to open up your scanned file and print it. If you never have to print it, well you just saved yourself some paper and toner costs, my friend. Scanners are also a great way to convert your paper documents to paperless documents. Have some old statements that you just can’t throw away but still want to clear up some space? Just scan it and then shred it. The file is secure in your computer.

If we all went paperless we’d really help to preserve our natural resources and money. Just make sure to make backups frequently. You don’t want to lose everything because of a corrupted hard drive.
