Every so often, Code Retard features a QOTD or “question of the day” post on various topics we find interesting. Hope you enjoy today’s question!
If I buy an unlocked iphone, can it be used with Sprint? Is it safe to buy an unlocked phone? I really want an iphone or the Touch, can’t decide which one. I heard they are basically the same, except of course the camera & phone itself.

No.
Even if your iPhone is unlocked, it does not work with Sprint or Verizon.
The current iPhone hardware is not compatible with Sprint’s cell network or Verizon’s cell network.
For one thing, iPhone needs a SIM card. Sprint and Verizon do not use SIM cards for US domestic cell phones.
um if it’s unlocked then yes. but I’ve never heard of apple selling an unlocked iphone. they have an agreement with at&t. so I’d be leery and check it out before $$ was exchanged. then I’d get a 2od opinion and have them check it out too!
