Every so often, Code Retard features a QOTD or “question of the day” post on various topics we find interesting. Hope you enjoy today’s question!

She logs in, then she goes to join my live, and when she does it comes to a blank page. She’s doing it on her wii. Any help on how she can access my live correctly?

I hate to say this, but most streaming video sites (like uStream & Justin.TV) use the latest version of Flash to process the video stream.
The Wii’s Interenet Channel has Flash Air version 2 (which is equivalent to Flash 8) built in, but those sites normally use Flash 10 for it.
In short, the Wii’s Internet Channel just doesn’t have the Flash support for it. Before you even ask, YOU CANNOT UPGRADE FLASH ON THE INTERNET CHANNEL!!! The Wii’s Internet Channel Browser (a specialized version of Opera 9.x) was developed using a Flash SDK (Specialized Developmental Kit), so the only way that it can be upgraded is if Nintendo & Opera upgrade the browser… as well as Adobe issuing an SDK that’s compatible with the Wii.
I know it’s not the answer you want to hear, but it’s the harsh truth you’ll have to live with.
