QOTD: How Can I Reset The Wii Back To When It Was New?

Every so often, Code Retard features a QOTD or “question of the day” post on various topics we find interesting. Hope you enjoy today’s question!
i bought a used wii and the person didn’t delete much of anything and one profile has a password and i want that profile deleted what do i do?

To completely erase all of your Wii’s precious memory go to options (left circle in bottom of screen) go to the last page and select format wii memory. it will completely erase it.
Best way is to go into the system options and find Format Wii System Memory (Wii options, last selection on last page) according to the manual that will wipe all data from the Wii’s internal memory.
Its not a true factory reset,because it won’t roll back the Update you first download.
also.. if you have a modded wii this may also erase all custom IOS’s installed.. and potentially cause a nice brick! just FYI
