Actually, there are many types for many uses and they are all good and serve their purpose. Here they are in a nutshell:
1. Protect your phone from scratches etc.. Your best solution is Apples own “Titanium Air Jacket with its mirror film”. This is the lightest and best defense against scratches.
2. Protect your phone from damage from small fall and includes screen protector etc… Cases sold by Ultra Case which use their hybrid fabric or thin polycarbon which is way less bulkier than silicone.
3. Protect your phone from almost any drop from a good distance etc.. XtremeMac sells a light thin silicone case with a screen protector which is not as bulky as normal silicone cases but still protects your iphone excellently.
Any one of these are good and they all serve different purposes, I wish there was a ultra skin case which was hardly noticeable but protected the iPhone like it had on a soft gel wrapper but that will probably be a material not yet discovered nor yet manufactured and will probably be sometime in the future..haha..
I hope these answers help. It’s always good to find someone with experiences cause we all been there if you have ever owned an iPhone and me being as technical as I am, I shop specs like crazy before any purchase, so these seem to be the best I have found and used.
