QOTD: The Newest Wii Update Killed The Homebrew Channel?

Every so often, Code Retard features a QOTD or “question of the day” post on various topics we find interesting. Hope you enjoy today’s question!

My little brother did a system update on the Wii and now we can’t load any WADs or the Homebrew channel. Zelda hack won’t work. I heard I could try a hack involving Lego Indiana Johns, but I’d need to buy it and I might still be stuck at square one. Is there anything I could try? Any way I could downgrade the wii or get Homebrew working again?

Yes, the updated hackmii installer will work on the newest system menu.
If you want a guide on installing the HBC on 4.2, I’ll provide you with one.
If you want any of your wads to work, however, you’ll need to reinstall cIOS, which I’m not too sure will work on 4.2 (although I think it does)
    Guide is here:http://allisbrawl.com/forum/topic.aspx?i…

If you updated to System menu 4.2, you just have to use BannerBomb. This unlocks the Homebrew Channel. http://bannerbomb.qoid.us/index.new.php
