Any 5V AC/DC adapter will work. The battery’s different but the voltage is the same, and they have the same plug.

no the charger are 2 different chargers because the batteries themselves are different.

The chargers are identical. I own both PSP-1001 and PSP-2001 (slim). The batteries as well are interchangable. The difference is in the thickness of the battery– the slim has a thinner battery that has less capacity. I generally use an old (phat) high-capacity battery in my slim with no issues (besides the battery lid wont bit– battery is a snug fit anyways).

Most all accessories are interchangable, except for things which use the remote connector (video out cable, etc) which changed between 100x and 200x (and later) revisions.

      Hope it helps,
      nn
