QOTD: Why Is My New Iphone 3gs Not Syncing With Itunes?

Every so often, Code Retard features a QOTD or “question of the day” post on various topics we find interesting. Hope you enjoy today’s question!
I just bought it this afternoon, and have tried syncing it a few times but none of my music has transferred over. I know my iphone is properly hooked up to my laptop because the iphone says that it’s syncing, but then when I click on iPod it says that there is no content. I have like 3000 songs, so there should definitely be content. What am I doing wrong?

when your iPhone is connected, click on it on the left, under Devices. Then try clicking on the Music tab on the top of the screen, and edit your preferences on what you want transferred.
