Every so often, Code Retard features a QOTD or “question of the day” post on various topics we find interesting. Hope you enjoy today’s question!

Todays games are total crap cause they Focus way to much on the online of the game and ditching the single player of the game. Remember when video games used to be about the single player and sometimes multiplayer and games were very long and not short cause they back then they careless about graphics because they know back than graphics don’t make the game the gameplay does and video games back than were tons of fun now its not the same anymore.

I think most of todays games are bad because..
    1. They let pretty much anyone make games for it.
    2. (In nintendo’s case) They forget that they are making games, and just make a bunch of excuses like wii fit or wii sports.
    3. The lack of 2d games.

I would rather have a good playable game than good graphics. I still play MUD from time to time. I love it.
Some of my favorite games are Starflight I and II, X-COM Apocalypse, Settlers, Overlord, Castles, Pirates, and Wing Commander.
Not the best graphics in the world but they were fun games.
Sid Meyers is the game king. Pretty much anything from him will do for me.
