QOTD: How Do I Transfer Songs From My Current Ipod To Another One?

Every so often, Code Retard features a QOTD or “question of the day” post on various topics we find interesting. Hope you enjoy today’s question!

So I might get a new iPod and I have a lot of music I don’t want to lose. Is there any way that I can make sure the music I have on this one gets onto my new one?
Because I tried this the last time I got a new one and it didn’t work and i had to get all new music.
