How Can I Save A Slideshow Video That Is On A Dvd Onto My Laptop?

My friend made an awesome slideshow video for me on a DVD and I am able to play it on my laptop, but I don’t know how to save it. I would like to open it in Windows Movie Maker and add a few of my own pictures, and then upload it to YouTube. The dvd isn’t copyright protected or anything.
Does anyone know how I could go about doing this?

YouTube accepts a wide range of video file formats. The video files below are all accepted by YouTube. Some video formats work best and are most compatible with certain computers, software or devices.
    Windows Media Video (.WMV)
    .3GP (cell phones)
    .AVI (windows)
    .MOV (mac)
    .MP4 (ipod/psp)
    .MPEG
    .FLV (adobe flash)
    .SWF (shockwave flash)v
    .MKV (h.264)
If you do not think your current video file format is recognized by YouTube, you may get the best uploading results from converting your file to MPEG4 video with MP3 audio.
I recommend you Aiseesoft DVD Ripper.
It could easily rip DVD to MP4, H.264, AVI, MP3, WMV, WMA, FLV, MKV, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, 3GP, 3GPP, VOB, DivX, Mov, RM, RMVB, M4A, AAC, WAV, etc. with super fast DVD ripping speed and excellent image and sound quality.
It also can edit the DVD movies, such as trim a video clip, crop the movie, merge several titles or chapters into one file and so on.
    Hope can help you!
