The Nyko Frontman wireless guitar is an excellent affordable alternative piece of hardware to first party Guitar Hero and Rock Band wireless guitars, which cost a lot more. For budget shoppers though, you just can’t get a better feature set and play experience than the Nyko guitar for the money. Available in black or white for $20 a pop, it’s over $30 cheaper than either Guitar Hero or Rock Band guitars. This hardware review is for the PS3 platform, but Xbox 360 and Wii versions are expected to be similar. Below is a shot of the back of the box:

linux terminal debian How to Get Exit Status Codes from Linux Command Prompt

Whenever you execute a command in Linux, the command actually returns an exit status code which is useful when you need information on how the execution went like if it failed or succeeded. An exit status code of:

  • 0 means the command executed properly without any errors
  • 1 means the command executed but there may have been some minor issues (think of these as warnings)
  • 2 means the command executed and there was a major problem (think of these as errors)

Microsoft to Blame for Crappy netbooks!

/* Posted December 24th, 2008 at 8:00am [Comments: none] */

the original TechCrunch complaint was that netbooks are underpowered. This is a direct result of Microsoftโ€™s Ultra Low Cost PC (ULCPC) licensing program. If manufacturerโ€™s donโ€™t stick to Microsoftโ€™s restrictions, they canโ€™t purchase XP at a discount ($26-32), which is the only way to get XP since they no longer sell it. These rules are why you canโ€™t buy a netbook with more that 1GB of RAM.
