This problem was fixed by just updated to the newest version of Pidgin(though mine was 2.6.2 instead of 2.6.4. Amazing how such a small number makes a big difference.) *wishes there was an edit button*

It has nothing to do with folder permissions, as the folder it saves to is full access for your user, but probably related to some driver used in the program. This officially sucks, because my IM program is NOT one of the things I want to be able to access a anything on my computer, so a fix would be nice. for anyone wondering(cuz i had this problem myself, stupid f-ing vista) if you are using Vista, it WILL NOT log anything if you aren’t running the program as administrator.
