    Who here thinks this is an utter waste of money? The biggest problem with a high-speed rail is it’s costly to build because the tracks have to be laid, and nobody wants to pay for the true cost of ticket fare. Just to get people to ride the train, a huge portion of each ticket’s fare is actually covered by taxpayer dollars whether we use it or not. Who’s the real winner in all of this? The companies contracted to build this expensive project.
