Sony has officially released PSP firmware 5.01. The update is said to correct issues relating to larger capacity PRO Duos. Namely the 8 and 16 GB sticks produced an insufficient space error when downloading content from the PlayStation Store.

    see this is why i stick to custom firmware, because regular ppl are coming up with better apps for the psp than sony. playing psp games off the memory stick is just a plus. besides ppl break open the drm of those demos from the PSS within hours of being released. I have no use even for the PSS since having custom firmware somehow disables playing them. So i just download the game. and i never had issues with an 8 or 16gig ms. They were just making excuses to release a new update to their firmware. Since their previous wasnt long ago at the time.
