What Happens to a PSP-3000 When You Insert a Pandora Battery

The Slim TA-088 v3 motherboard may be unhackable for now, but the TA-090 certainly isn’t. And guess what? Good news for the PSP community: the PSP-3000 has a TA-090! According to Dark AleX’s webmaster Alek, the PSP-3000 has some sort of protection the Slim doesn’t, but they’re working on it.
According to a post by Alek, the PSP-3000 battery "can’t be modded to a Pandora-hard-fashioned-Style," although both the Slim and 3000 batteries have the same 3-pin configuration.
They are still trying to figure out whether if it’s a new version of the TA-090, or whether it’s the same one found in the Slim. Having found that the PSP-3000 doesn’t even boot with a Pandora battery, they came to the following theory:
Having in mind that with a Pandora battery it doesn’t even boot the PSP, it could be possible that there are some other hardware patches on the connection Battery-PSP. Even though, some tests are needed to be made before making this for sure.
This will explain the fact that when using DC7 or Pandora, the PSP doesn’t even turns on. (Remember, on 88v3, it hangs up with the LED enabled and with no action)
So what does this all mean? It means there’s hope that the PSP-3000 mobo is hackable, but there are still some issues to work out. And once again, the future of PSP homebrew is in the hands of Dark AleX. We’ll have to wait on him for further developments.

I have a different idea for hacking the unkackable 3000. The 3000 will work on downloaded games from Sony. This is becauset there is code added to the games file that tell the PSP its a legit Sony game. Instead of trying so hard to hack the PSP itself why not try to find out what Sony adds to the games that makes them work. Then add that to the ISO/CSO file to make it play. Similar to the Swap discs that work on the PS2 when its hacked. The only thing the swap disn does is flash the PS2 symbol on the screen and at the same time its telling the PS2 that the game is a legit game. What about a SWAP UMD that does the same thing. Then the only thing that would have to be hacked is the psp’s umd door so that it doesnt reset when you open the UMD door. Just an idea for a different look at the supposed unkackable 3000!!!

i have an idea with pandora battery
with psp 3000 with TA-090 what if you took out the screen and maybe umd drive so pandora battery doesnt have to power them (psp 1000/2000used 3.6 battery and 3000 uses 5v) and hooked it up to pc monitor or tv for display then try the pandora battery and magic memory stick, whould it boot? without taking the stuff out it might not work now because of the power thing, some people say they tryed with pandora battery and green light went on for a sec and turned off or no display.

Sony gets pretty pissed because if we stop buying games, Sony will not only loose money but will also loose game developers. People would not want to design games for the psp anymore.

We have successfully hacked a psp 3000, this was after bricking 11 other psps, but it was well worth it. I know most of you people, if any are reading this, will want to know the magic behind the trick, I tell you that we will not share it for three main points:
1.- The psp 3000 is sony’s final hope to keep the psp alive. Game makers aren’t willing to put up with all the piracy around so they will definitively stop making games for the psp if the word of its hacking spreads out.
2.- There aren’t homebrews that run on psp 3000, or if there are, i don’t know about their existence, and therefore, aren’t supported by our customzised firmware. What I can do with my freshly hacked psp 3000 is playing ISOs, CSOs, because the firmware we have developed supports it.
3.- If it’s running around the internet, sony will eventually find a protection and send a firmware patching their flaw, preventing someone else to do it themeselves.
The only thing we wanted to achieve was that, playing ISOs and CSOs, the rest of the stuff is just not as important, for us.
Currently there are 7 psps 3000 that have runed our KnD (kill n destroy) which is a downgrader that can run on the psp 3000. It will take it all the way back to 1.5 OFW. then we developed the first ever choliware 1.0 which supports ISO and CSO.
Pretty cool huh?.
We don’t expect people to understand let alone accept our final deccision of keeping it a secret, but listen to this.
There is hope.
If 7 kids from Peru could take sony’s so called, unhackable psp, and hack it, WHAT’S STOPPING THE GREAT MINDS OF PSP HACKING LIKE DAX OR C+D? guys, we worshipped you, but i think this time we beated you to the punch.

And I’ve found the fountain of youth but I’m not going to share because someone else might drink from it. Yeah, like I believe a group of wannabes… I’m more convinced you finally figured out how to turn it on and maybe someday you’ll learn how to put in a different UMD.
Your biggest mistake is claiming Sony will send around a firmware update to fix the hole you’ve found. That shows you lack of understanding in how the system works. Let me explain it to you…. it doesn’t matter what patch Sony has or what firmware changes they make. No magic firmware pixies will magically update your firmware… you have to do that yourself.

Me and my friends are working on it, i hope DAx will release it before we do. Anyway, we tried putting our memorysticks in the freezer with our pandora battery. Turned out it was frozen. Lol, what i mean is, We should let DAx do the work. He’s one of the best there is. And if ever he Solved the problem, We should just have fun and keep quit about it, not being so “smart ass” and bragging about it showing it on youtube. I love Monster hunter. And if you love it to, you will understand. Monster hunter tri should be out for the psp, but what happened? turned out it was for the wii,ps3 and the xbox360. Why? Because a lot of downloaded games were released, they can’t keep up the work because of it. being a game developer is takes time and money, then what? ripping the game then uploading it in the internet?
