PSP 2000 vs PSP 3000

In all the Pictures in the post the PSP 3000 is the Silver one, both the white and black psp’s are both PSP 2000′s

Here is a Link to the new PSP 3000 Daxter Pack on Amazon: PSP 3000 Limited Edition Ratchet and Clank Entertainment Pack

They are also releasing a Black PSP 3000 in the US soon. It will cost $199.99 and come with a 4GB Memory Stick:

PSP 2000 vs PSP 3000 key points are:

- The PSP-3000 plays the same games and offers the same media support as the older PSP models

- Improved LCD screen

- new built-in microphone

- The LCD is the same size and resolution as older PSP displays, but it has a "wider color
gamut and anti-reflection technology."

- The new LCD also features five times the contrast ratio and quicker pixel-response times
than the old PSP display

- The response time has doubled in speed

- The new system has the same video-out port and uses the exact same video cables as the PSP-2000, but Sony has upgraded the PSP-3000′s video output to support gameplay output on interlaced displays using composite video cables.

- The PSP-3000 will be compatible with the same accessories as the PSP-2000.

- The new screen will NOT reduce battery life

Should You Upgrade?

As of writting this, the PSP 3000 is not yet hackable, the screen does look a liitle better, but it does not seem to be worth another 200 dollars to upgrade at this time. If you played each on their own, it would be very hard to tell the difference. Wait on the PSP to be hacked, then go in for the buy!

PSP 2000 vs PSP 3000

The 2000 and 3000 PSP’s are both the same size, but the new PSP has a few cosmetic changes as well. The logo in the upper right is no longer the Playstation symbol, and has been replaced by the words "Sony." All of the buttons along the bottom have also changed. They are not rounded and slightly bigger. The back of the new PSP looks sleeker and more cutting edge.

IF

One weird thing is that the new PSP 3000 is no longer glossy like the last Daxter Silver PSP. This new one is semi mat looking, but the PSP 2000 battery clips still fit.

When the light was turned on, it looked like the PSP-3000 had a brighter screen but when the light got turned off, it looked like the PSP-2000 was better. It really does like it’d hard to tell the difference. Unless you were comparing with the PSP-1000 at some point?
