When you fire up Mac OS X for the first time you don’t get too many options for customizing your machine like you do with Windows, which is a good or bad thing depending on the type of control you like to have. Me? I like to have control over everything, and the pre-made computer machine name just wasn’t cutting it for me. To change the machine name to something you like and is easy to remember, simply go to your computer settings, then click on the Sharing icon.
