Is windows loading slow for you? Overtime people install more and more applications that lach onto the windows startup procedures which in turn makes windows boot up very slow. How do you fix this problem? One simple method is using MSconfig.

What you need to do:
1. Go to Run and type in “MSCONFIG”

This will load up a window screen with some general information

2. Go to the “Startup Tab”

As you can see there is a check box along the side, bascially go through them and uncheck everything that isn’t Microsoft or directly related to a driver. Stuff from Adobe etc can be unchecked as well without affecting your computer. Software makers like to attach processes to your startup so that when you launch their program, it will already be “warmed up” because you already loaded them when you started your computer.

3. Another optional step is to then go into the “Services” tab and uncheck everything again that isn’t directly related to a driver or Microsoft.

4. Hit apply and close the window, the next time your computer restarts the changes will take affect. If you ever want to change a setting again, just relaunch the program.
