How to get your Sony Vaio laptop to view games Full Screen
We at Code Retard love StarCraft even though it was written 10 years ago. One problem that I have always had with my Sony TX was that it would reduce the screen when that game would load. I never bothered to figure out why that would happen until I got my Sony UX.
If your screen isn’t resizing, I found out it was a BIOS setting on the motherboard. Easy Fix:
1. Hit F2 when you see the VAIO load screen
2. Go into the “Advanced” Tab
3. Change “LCD Screen Expansion” to “YES”
4. Save out and exit, and all your problems will be solved.
This not only will solve the Star Craft issue, but any other program that tried to load a lower resolution than the max on your Sony LCD.
wait for it…….BOO YAH! Done.

Hello,
I have got a Sony Vaio VGN-NR108E but I don’t see “LCD Screen Expansion” any where in BIOS setting. Does my laptop can’t view StarCraft or WarCraft fullscreen:((?
Thanks,
I have an NR series as well, after fiddling around a bit, i found a “graphics properties” link when right-clicking the desktop. From there you can go to the “Display settings” tab, and click “aspect ratio options”. Set it to full screen, or if you prefer, maintain aspect ratio, and you’re good to go!
i got to the graphics properties but i dont see the “apect ratio options” tab at all. i own a VGC-LV140J desktop though maybe thats the reason.. buut yea i need to fix this half screen on warcraft/starcraft pproblem too..messed around with the resolutions and everything but cant seem to fix the problem. I tried the LCD Screen Expansion thing as well, but i dont see that tab either..
please help someone!
Same problem here, with the Vaio VGN-FZ160E.
I don’t have the option for “LCD Screen Expansion” in my BIOS, nor do I have “aspect ratio options” under my graphic properties. Any other solutions?
