Lego Creation Recreates Donkey Kong Arcade Game

Lego builder Dan Kressin built a charming Donkey Kong recreation completely out of Legos. The Lego set has be started up and contains a Mario, Princess, and of course Donkey Kong (who is actually a Lego troll). Unfortunately Mario doesn’t go anywhere but he can jump over barrels (most of the time). Dan built an ingenious some sort of system to re-cycle the barrels from top to bottom. If you’re interested, you can try to build it yourself or make some improvements and let us know about it.

(Nintendo) The video was created by Lego enthusiast Dan Kressin who, for reasons best know to himself, decided to create a Lego Donkey Kong replica. Using only Lego he must have the patience of a saint as he recreated the original Donkey Kong screen… or so I am told as I’m not old enough to remember the original.

A Lego Donkey Kong that Actually Moves
(Gadgets) Lego. Mindstorms RCX. Donkey Kong. Rolling barrels. Donkey Kong throws rolling barrels. Mario jumps. And jumps. And jumps. All synchronized. Even the game start tune is generated by Lego Mindstorms. After seeing it in action—and hearing the rattling noise it makes—I want this on the wall of my bedroom, as my alarm clock.
