Transformers Iphone!

Insignificant as it seems, what I will miss most from changing to the new 2.0 firmware are the themes! There were some very nicely done themes for the 1.1.4 firmware that I hope will be ported over to 2.0 SOON! Here were some of my favorite (from a girl’s point of view):

China Wind iPhone Theme (above) - one of my first and still a favorite, this one just has clean, interesting asian themed icons and colors.

Spirited Away iPhone Theme - Chihiro and all her friends from Miyazaki’s Spirited Away! Missing some icons, but it’s pretty nice.

Tokidoki IPhone Theme - only gripe about this one was that some of the vinyl toy figure icons were not very cleanly done. Maybe a graphics tokidoki theme would be nice, but this one was interesting enough all the same.

PSP game ‘Loco Roco’ iPhone Theme - very nicely done, but was missing a grip of icons for mailbox, maps, weather installer and some other common apps. Pair this up with a loco roco ringtone and you’re all Loco Rocoed out!

Transformers - Each icon was a robot, might have been a bit busy having all these little robots on the screen.

Death Note iPhone theme - really liked this one. icons are transparent and everything blends in nicely with the background. just missing the ‘contacts’ icon.

Bleach iPhone Theme - one of the main ones my iPhone will put on. Simply adorable chibi icons for the different bleach characters. Clean, many icons, and a great background.

Doraemon iPhone Theme - this is simply one of the best! it’s Doraemon in different costumes, and many diverse ones at that. You have Doraemon as Harry Potter, Transformers Doraemon, Full Metal Alchemist, Batman, Ryu, Zelda’s Link, Gundam, Megaman, Keroro, Nintendo’s Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Santa, and a couple others I couldn’t identify. Clean and simply creatively cute, awesome, and funny all at the same time!

Hello Kitty iPhone Theme - I almost tripped over my own toes when I saw this one. Even though it’s glowing pink to the max, it has tons of transparently clean icons, with everything blending together very nicely onto the iphone’s wallpaper. Pair this one up with the Pink Notes by Planet-iPhone Mods and you’re set!

For those who have never seen these themes and want to put them on your 1.1.4 iPhone, you simply need install SummerBoard by Nullriver Software, under ’system’ installs, and install the individual themes themselves under ‘Themes.’ This is a different program than Customize and the Customize themes. An icon will appear that is called “SMB Prefs.” That’s where you will set your theme, and whether you want text under your icons, hide the dock titles or not, etc. etc.

Now I’m just waiting anxiously for some themes to go onto the 2.0 firmware. And we seem to be missing a Macross theme?!
