Apple quietly released the 2.0.2 update to iPhone firmware about two weeks ago with only a mysterious “bug fixes” as the sole release note. I had been on 2.0.1 firmware for a few weeks with the only problem being App Store app ghost icons that started to appear during app updates. Thinking that 2.0.2 might be the solution to my problem, with QuickPwn frontend GUI now out and especially with such a great name - QuickPwn: it must be quick! - I decided to make the leap of faith. I’d also read that I’d be able to do an upgrade without a restore, allowing me to keep my current jailbroken apps. Let me just say the process was not really all that quick and I wasn’t able to do it without a restore (after all, you only get one try). So if you are having a lot of problems on 2.0.1 or just want to live on the edge and don’t mind losing all your settings by doing yet another restore, then follow this guide to upgrade your iPhone to the latest 2.0.2 firmware. PSP-Maps is a tool that allows you to browse Google Maps, Virtual Earth and Yahoo Maps with your PSP and its WiFi connection. You can move around the map, zoom in and out, cycle through the different available views, search for an address, load/save favorites, etc.
It includes a cache system so you can browse later the maps you have previously seen, even if you don’t have WiFi available. There is also a PC version if you don’t have WiFi at all, so you can build a cache on your computer and copy it to your PSP.
Technically, PSP-Maps connects directly to the servers to fetch the images, it does not use the provided APIs since there are usually in JavaScript and not convenient for a homebrew.

Discussions have been raging at macrumours over the mysterious iPhone girl whose photo was “accidentally” shipped with a UK customer’s new iPhone 3G.
Not sure if this is or is not the ‘norm’ but I just received my brand new iPhone here in the UK and once it had been activated on iTunes I found that the home screen (the screen you can personalise with a photo) already had a photo set against it !!!!
It would appear that someone on the production line was having a bit of fun

Ever had lags or drops when listening to music? Ever wonder why sometimes your computer lags inexpertly? Well DCP latency may be the cause of the problem.
If any kernel-mode device driver in your Windows system is implemented improperly and causes excessive latencies of Deferred Procedure Calls (DPCs) then probably drop-outs will occur when you use real-time audio or video streaming applications.
The DPC Latency Checker tool determines the maximum DPC latency that occurs on your Windows system and thus enables you to check the real-time capabilities of your computer. DPC Latency Checker works independent of any external hardware. Using this tool may be helpful in the following situations:
- You experience interruptions (drop-outs) in a flow of data processed in real-time, for example an audio stream, video stream or a sequence of measuring data, and you want to find out the reason for this problem.
- You want to verify that your Windows system is configured properly so that it is capable of handling real-time data transfer before you install the corresponding streaming application.
- You want to check if a particular computer system is suitable for streaming applications, for example before you buy this system.

The complete Rock Band 2 track list has been known for some time but the ratings have not. IGN has categorized the track listing into each instrument and sorted them according to difficulty. The only list we care about (full band) starts off easy with Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger and ends with Judas Priest’s Painkiller. We’re showing the difficulties based on a full band starting with the easiest, but for the complete list check out IGN. Read more »
