javascript super mario kart snes

Weighing in at only 11kb, Jacob Seidelin, who is a self-professed “Javascript enthusiast,” was able to create a playable Javascript rendition of the classic Super Mario Kart for SNES. The game supports three characters, two tracks, basic AI, and even music. The frame rate worked out great for me with default settings on Firefox. Although there is basic boundary detection within the map but not between karts so don’t try to crash into the AI, it won’t work. There’s no timer and no finish, but it’s still an excellent concept and exemplary demo of mad Javascripting skills.
