Garmin Nuvi

If your nüvi® 3xx is not acquiring satellite signals, you may need to download and run the Garmin® WebUpdater® program. For information on downloading, installing and running this program, click on the following link:

If you are still having issues after updating the Unit Software (operating system software) on your unit, you may need to do a full Master Reset.

Note: A Master Reset erases Favorites and waypoints. Before proceeding, you may want to back up information you want to keep.

To do a full Master Reset to the nüvi 300 series unit:
1. Turn the device OFF.
2. Place your fingertip or the eraser end of a pencil in the upper right corner of the touchscreen and continue to and hold pressure there.
3. While pressing and holding down on the screen, power the unit ON and continue pressing on the screen until a message displays to confirm if you really want to delete all user data?.
4. Touch Yes.
5. Your unit will restart automatically, afterwhich you must go through the initial set up procedure.
6. Once you complete the Master Reset, place the nüvi unit outside where it has a clear unobstructed view of the sky for 15-20 minutes. Keep it in a stationary position until it reacquires satellites.
