iPhone 2.0 Firmware To Recognize Chinese Handwriting

It looks like the latest iPhone 2.0 beta firmware, currently available only to registered iPhone SDK developers, will have support for Chinese handwriting recognition. Simply write the character with your finger and the iPhone automatically brings up the closest matching four characters on the right side of the screen. Of course, it also allows you to spell the word in English if you prefer.
