Download: City Navigator® North America NT 2009 Map Update free from Garmin site.
Garmin has absolutely no way of knowing when you bought your system if you have haven’t registered your GPS unit. So if you want the update, go to Garmin’s website and register it and put any date after March 1st and then it’ll let you download the update for free. You have to create an account w/ garmin. You do this when you register your unit. Also, your account will have the unlock code. Even if someone sends you the file, you can’t use it w/o the unlock code that Garmin provides.

O ya, and if you arent into the offical update route, one could always Google: “Garmin 2009 map” (about 2.2Gb) and “GarminUnlocker” (about 40Kb)

what about them asking for a serial number on the unit ???? what do I put down there when they ask for it ??

i think its the same process have you tried it out yet? this worked with my garmin 350

i still have a copy of the updated file on my computer, but the problem is its a few gigs, not sure where to load it without getting busted

its 2.2 gigs, i dont think any email system will support that
Hotmail is 5G. Noone else knows where to get it free or cheaper than the almost $70 from Garmin…….yes I am searching……..

hey can you e-mail me the update for the 2009 maps please my e-mail i pay for and it will accept the big files please u would be so awesome i got screwed i bought one and somoene registered it and the store tookj it back and re sold it and iam stuck with 06 maps man
