Follow these directions to create an SD card to run all your homebrew applications on your un-modded Wii. Each homebrew application will appear as a channel in the Homebrew Launcher. With this program, you can even customize the channel logo and title of your homebrew apps.
Installation
- Download the Wii Homebrew Launcher here.
- Unzip the package and copy the file boot.elf on an SD card.
- Create a folder “homebrew” on the root of the SD card.
For each Homebrew
- Create a subfolder in the “homebrew” folder for each homebrew app (8 characters max)
- Copy the elf file in this directory and rename it to boot.elf
- [Optional] To give a name to the homebrew app, create a file “title.txt” and edit it with the name (you want to use
- [Optional] To give a specific icon, create a 132×95 24-bit bitmap file (.bmp). Name it “title.bmp” and copy it into the homebrew app’s folder.
Usage
- Navigation is done through the GameCube controller
- UP / DOWN / LEFT / RIGHT: select homebrew app
- A: start the selected homebrew app
- R / L: Change the page (if over 11 homebrew apps)
- Z: refresh the list of channels
