Wii DVD-ROM Replacement Drive
This Wii mod seems to be the easiest that I’ve seen. Even though WiiKey install is pretty darn simple with its quick solder points, you still need a soldering iron, the correct solder points, and some soldering experience… no problem if you’ve done this before, a major one if not. Well, consolesource.com is now selling a pre-modified Wii drive so modding your Wii is a simple matter of swapping out the original. All you’d need to find are some instructions on opening up your Wii and some tools. No soldering iron, no modding experience necessary. The DVD-ROM comes pre-installed with the D2Pro Mod Chip and is compatible with every Wii model on the market today. The downside is it costs nearly as much as a Wii itself, and you’d still have to install it yourself. Even a WiiKey plus installation should be less than $100 if you know where to look. Still, it’s great to see these kinds of mods in the Wii aftermarket.

Oh, the consolesource.com website is hilarious, they won’t ship to the US, but they list the price in USD. Figure that out…
