Use Empty CD Spindles for Cable Storage

Ever not know what to do with all your leftover CD spindle cases? I usually just throw them out, not really wanting to stick my bagels in there. But I discovered a few days ago a new use for them: as cable organizers. My room is a huge mess of odd cables that I try to keep clean by keeping them in boxes. Since I have so many of them, finding a particular cable is a huge chore of pulling out boxes from underneath other boxes and digging through each box for the right one.

Hackers Post Flashing Images on Epilepsy Support forums

Another story about the greatness of human kind. Hackers attack epilepst support message boards last week and posted flashing images to trigger users into having migraine headaches, and seizures in some.

These guys totally redid about half of Star Wars Episode IV in ASCII (they call it “asciimation”), complete with opening credits and dialog. There’s no sound or color or anything, but what would you expect from a painstakingly lovingly done ASCII movie? To watch, just head on over to their website. For the 12 year anniversay, Electronic Arts has released the classic Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn RTS (real time strategy) game for free online.
New Windows XP powered Eee Laptop Coming April 9th - $400 bucks!

Finally a new Eee will be coming out April 9th loaded with Windows XP. The only problem is that the hardware is the same as the current one out. So if you already have a Eee, and just want Windows, maybe head over to Ebay and pick up a copy.

Check out this sticky, gooey concoction of so-called “Passion Juice,” complete with two meaty, swelling balls on the label (and one half that looks like it was dissected, yikes)! Hmm, I wonder how many inmates it took to fill the entire bottle? We’re categorizing this one under “food”… we think?
iPhone Firmware 2.0 Already Hacked

The iPhone Dev Team has reportedly already hacked the newest firmware (version 2.0) for the iPhone, having gotten their hands on it through the iPhone SDK. The firmware disk image was decrypted and jailbroken, meaning that apps can run on the 2.0 firmware without requiring a development certificate from Apple. Great to know these guys are on top of their game providing freedom to the masses.
